The Plug-in Elementary School takes the idea of the module and infinite grid to propose a linear system that creates a school on the Eakin Elementary school site. It does this by arranging a series of slanted blocks on a 25-foot kinked grid to create a clasped front side (clad in fully to semi-transparent panels) and a less transparent backing towards housing. Each block allows light to enter from various places and merges with others frequently to allow the program to begin defining the rooms’ sizes. The same system of organization is used to define the site.
