Arch 4420 (UG4 Studio) Final Undergrad Project - Future Framings, Fantasies, and Fruitions

A proposal for a recreation center in Detroit Michigan. However, designed in a way with limited attachment to program and architectural permanence. Started with an existing building, the Sulzer AG Boiler Forge from Winterthur Switzerland, and through composition, reference, and relationships built additions and renovations to accommodate the GUI studio brief. These design interventions were imagined over a period of hundreds of years, speculating what spaces might allow for continued use in the distant future.
