A lot of my projects arise from a need. This project was one of those. We had a lot of loose spice bottles that sat on the counter and took up way too much space. We cook a lot of different food, so we have around 40-50 spices, and a lot of racks online either were too small or came with spices. I decided make one insted.
My first designs were a staircase shape that would hold layers of spices, but to make a rack like that for all our spices would take up just as much space. I then went to the internet for inspiration. After a little bit of browsing, I came up with a design that would suit my needs.

About halfway through I accidentally dropped my architect's ruler and it split in two. Luckily I had already drawn the long edges and was able to finish the smaller details.
The final product turned out pretty good, although there were a few areas where the wood didn't quite line up (that's what I get for using warped pine). I was able to all of the spices on it, but some of the large boxed ones had to sit on top.
